The venue

Leigh Perkins Conservation Education Center

ISS4 is held at the newly built Leigh Perkins Conservation Education Center, located on the main campus of Tall Timbers Research Station in the Red Hills region between Thomasville, Georgia, and Tallahassee, Florida.

The facility is named in honor of Leigh Perkins, former Tall Timbers Board member and the man responsible for growing Orvis from a niche sporting company into one of the world’s most respected outdoor brands. When Leigh passed in 2021, the Perkins Family embraced the vision for a state-of-the-art conservation education facility at Tall Timbers as an excellent fit for Leigh’s conservation ethic and drive to connect people with the outdoors.
